The short version
We collect information you give us to help you sell your home. We use it to run the platform, improve our service, and communicate with you. We do not sell your personal data to anyone. Ever.
What information we collect
When you use Parcel, we may collect the following:
- Contact information — your name, email address, and phone number
- Property information — your property address, details about the home (bedrooms, bathrooms, square footage, condition, etc.), and any listing information you provide
- Account information — login credentials and account preferences
- Usage data — how you interact with the platform (pages visited, features used, time spent)
- Payment information — billing details processed securely through Stripe (we do not store your full card number)
How we use your information
- Pricing analysis — we use your property details to generate a pricing analysis and comparable sales report
- Marketing services — your listing information is used to create and distribute marketing materials for your property
- Transaction guidance — your contact and property information helps us provide relevant guidance throughout the selling process
- Platform operations — to manage your account, process payments, and send you important service updates
- Product improvement — aggregated, anonymized usage data helps us make Parcel better
Third-party services we use
We work with a small number of trusted third-party services to run the platform:
- Anthropic — we use Anthropic's Claude model to power our pricing analysis and expert guidance features. Property and market data may be sent to Anthropic to generate responses. Anthropic's privacy policy is available at anthropic.com/privacy.
- Stripe — we use Stripe to process payments. Your payment information is handled directly by Stripe and subject to their privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
- Supabase — your account data and property information are stored securely in Supabase, a cloud database provider. Data is stored in the United States.
We do not sell your data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes. Full stop. Your data is used only to provide and improve the Parcel service.
Cookies
Parcel uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and understand how the platform is being used. We do not use cookies to track you across other websites or serve you ads. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features of the platform may not work correctly without them.
How to request deletion of your data
You can request that we delete your account and associated personal data at any time. To do so, email us at privacy@parcelre.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request." We will process your request within 30 days. Note that some data may be retained for legal or accounting purposes as required by law.
Data security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure cloud storage, and access controls. No system is 100% secure, but we work hard to keep your data safe.
Changes to this policy
If we make significant changes to this privacy policy, we'll notify you by email or with a notice on the platform before the changes take effect.
